Rosemary KrestonRosemary Kreston

Director

Rosemary has been the director of the SDC since 1980. She is originally from Michigan. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wayne State University, a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Northern Colorado, and is currently finishing her Ph.D. in sociology here at CSU.

Brittany Otter

Assistant Director for Access and Accommodations

Originally from Seattle, WA, Brittany graduated from the CSU Student Affairs in Higher Education (SAHE) program in 2014. Before returning to CSU in 2019, Britt worked as Disability Support Coordinator at University of Colorado Boulder and Front Range Community College from 2014-2019. Britt enjoys knitting, watching science fiction and fantasy shows, and hiking. Come check out her Harry Potter-themed office!

Amanda WimmerAmanda Wimmer

Amanda has been working at the SDC professionally since 2014. Before getting hired on as a professional staff she worked in the office as a student staff. She is originally from Littleton, Colorado. Amanda earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from CSU. Outside of work Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, enjoying the outdoors.

Kathleen IvyKathleen Ivy

Kathleen has worked at the SDC since 1994.  She grew up, married, and raised her two daughters in Colorado. She earned both her bachelor’s degree in English and her master’s in education from CSU. When she’s not at work Kathleen enjoys gardening, painting, and playing with her dogs.

Terry has been working at the SDC professionally since 2006 in a variety of roles. Before working in the office professionally he worked as a student staff. Terry is originally from the suburbs of Chicago. He earned both his bachelor’s degree in psychology and his master’s degree in adult education and training from CSU. When he’s not working Terry enjoys reading, enjoying live music, and skiing.

Alisha ZmudaAlisha Zmuda

Coordinator of Alternative Testing Accommodations

Alisha started working at the SDC in 2015 as a course transcriber and was hired into her current role in 2017. She is originally from Colorado Springs. Alisha earned her bachelor’s degree in art from CSU. Outside of work Alisha enjoys enjoying the outdoors, reading, and creating art.

Nico GowdyNico Gowdy

Nico has been working at the SDC professionally since 2014. Before getting hired on as a professional staff he worked in the office as a student staff. Nico is from Canon City, Colorado but was born and raised in Germany. He earned his bachelor’s degree in anthropology from CSU and is currently working on his master’s degree in business administration. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family, working out, reading, and listening to music.

Dede KliewerDede Kliewer

Coordinator of Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing Accommodations

Dede has been working at the SDC for over 25 years as both a sign language interpreter and as the coordinator of Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing Accommodations. She is originally from Crete, Nebraska. Outside of work she enjoys crafting, reading, and playing with her cats.

Gina BurdGina Burd

Staff Interpreter

Gina has been working as a sign language interpreter at the SDC for over 30 years.  She is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Outside of work she enjoys listening to music, cooking, and spending time with her granddaughter.
