Fall 2020 Access & Accommodations

Is the SDC open?

  • The Student Disability Center (SDC) office will remain open remotely by phone (970-491-6385) or email (sdc@colostate.edu) during our usual business hours Monday thru Friday, 7:45am-4:45pm throughout summer (July 2020).
  • You can also contact us through our live Chat function for our website.
  • You may get calls from our office from Blocked numbers because we are all working from home. Please still answer these phone numbers for your phone appointments, as it may be us!

Please refer to https://safety.colostate.edu/coronavirus/ for all the most recent college-wide updates related to pandemic response, fall 2020 courses, and ongoing resources available.

We are thinking about you and your access needs for summer online courses and returning to campus this fall 2020 semester. We are working with various campus constituents to plan for accommodations and will post updates to our website for fall 2020 here, as well as communicate via your Ram email account. Contact your Accommodation Specialist to discuss your specific situation and any additional accommodation needs. If you don’t know who your Accommodation Specialist is, call 970-491-6385 or email sdc@colostate.edu. Keep updated on the Keep Learning site for campus-wide updates.

I am immune-compromised and/or have an underlying health condition that may make attending class in person this fall challenging.

We are thinking about you. Please contact your Accommodation Specialist about your specific health needs and concerns and they will identify additional accommodations that may be necessary for fall 2020. We will discuss your student experience holistically, including your classes, living, dining, and involvement plans to accommodate your needs throughout your life as a student here at CSU.

Van transportation services are suspended for Fall 2020.

Please consult our transportation services website for options related to transportation services. If you still need support with accommodations on campus, contact your Accommodation Specialist.

What precautions is Housing & Dining planning for fall?

We do not have any information at this time requiring social distancing for fall 2020.  At this time, we anticipate our operations will be business as usual in the fall.

We intend and hope to open the residence halls for the fall semester in mid-August. The university will be bound by public health guidance that we will be required to follow to protect our students and community. The information provided here is subject to change and you will be updated as plans for the fall are finalized. The phases of President McConnell’s COVID-19 Recovery Plan can be found at president.colostate.edu/covid-19-update-from-president-mcconnell/#process.
