Workforce Recruitment Program

If you are a CSU student interested in working in government for the summer or after you graduate, the Student Disability Center and the Career Center staff would like to tell you about a great opportunity for CSU students with disabilities, the Workforce Recruitment Program.

The Workforce Recruitment Program for College Students with Disabilities (WRP), coordinated by the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) and the U.S. Department of Defense, is a recruitment and referral program that connects federal and private sector employers with highly motivated college students, graduate students, and recent graduates with disabilities who are eager to prove their abilities in the workplace through summer or permanent jobs.

Eligible students must:

  • Have a disability and be eligible under the Schedule A hiring authority – please refer to attached checklist about Schedule A.
  • Have documentation of your disability from a qualified medical professional
  • Be a United States citizen
  • Be enrolled in a degree program on a substantially full-time basis OR have graduated with a degree in April 2017 or after.

Please note that candidates must reapply each program year to participate.

For more information and to start your application process go to www.wrp.gov.  Click on the student registration button to get started!

All application materials must be uploaded to the WRP site by Friday, October 12 for approval by your campus coordinators. No late applications will be accepted so don’t wait until the last minute. Time is needed to update and spruce up your resume, create a copy of your school transcript (from Ramweb) and to have your resume approved!
