Monday, September 25th 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Location Virtual Zoom Meeting https://zoom.us/j/96491188776

People with disabilities are rarely seen as sexual beings. This misconception stems from a lack of understanding of disabled people and is perpetuated in popular culture. In this session we will examine sex positivity using a disability-based lens. We will highlight the experiences of people with disabilities, examine how disabled people are viewed when it comes to sex, breakdown some harmful myths and stereotypes, discuss the importance of consent, and of course look at some inclusive sex toys.

Please Note: This presentation will contain some sexual content and adult language. Please use your own discretion if choosing to attend this session.

I am not the other: Neurodiverse experiences at CSU

Wednesday, September 27th, 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. LSC 312

Human and civil rights are at the core of liberal democracies, but disability rights are not yet widely understood to be part of human rights. We believe this is due in part to a lack of empathy for disabled citizens. In this event, we seek to build the foundational empathy necessary for a thriving, inclusive community.
